Housing Officer Role

Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association is seeking a skilled Housing Officer to join their team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality housing management service to customers and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a patch of general needs, home for older people, and affordable housing properties.
  2. Effective management of the patch, including rent accounts, estate inspections, and anti-social behavior cases.
  3. Liaise with colleagues in Property Services and Lettings to ensure the effective allocation of void properties.
  4. Manage tenant expectations regarding repairs and escalate any property maintenance issues affecting tenant welfare via appropriate channels.
  5. Manage complaints about service delivery.
  6. Work with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations.
  7. Deliver general advice on all aspects of tenancy to enable sustainability.
  8. Work with external agencies to resolve issues affecting tenant welfare.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience of undertaking a similar role.
  2. Prior experience of delivering high-quality tenancy services.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent communication and customer care skills.
  5. Proven experience of good practice resident involvement activities.
  6. Excellent understanding of written and spoken English.
  7. Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice.

The full-time equivalent salary for this role is £35,137 based on 37.5 hours per week, rising to £36,986 after 12 months' service and subject to satisfactory performance.
