Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Cross in Hand School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs, promoting their academic progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, tailoring your approach to meet their unique requirements.
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback to students, offering encouragement and motivation to succeed.
  • Support students both inside and outside the classroom, including accompanying them on educational visits.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Attend meetings with parents, other professionals, and a lead member of staff to discuss student progress and develop plans for support.
  • Contribute to the sharing of good practice to ensure students can access the full curriculum.
Requirements:
  • Good communication and behavior management skills.
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Ability to work well as part of a flexible team.
  • Enthusiasm, organization, patience, and compassion.
