Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Jarvis Johnson. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for implementing our technical and quality strategy, leading a technical team, and ensuring the site is always audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's technical and quality strategy to ensure the site meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of technical professionals to deliver the site business plan and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement the site food safety plan, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, health and safety, and environmental management.
  • Manage and oversee technical-related budgets and financial planning.
  • Conduct incident investigations, including risk assessments, to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Support independent audits across the company to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Manager in a chilled food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive performance and bring people on a journey.
  • Experienced in implementing and maintaining food safety and quality systems.
  • Ability to manage and oversee technical-related budgets and financial planning.
  • Strong understanding of micro and associated hygiene practices, including food handling, cleaning, and disinfection.
  • Experience working with multiple retailers and suppliers.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene and Level 4 HACCP certification.
  • Desirable: Driving license and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
