Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced clinical diabetes specialist to lead our inpatient and outpatient diabetes services. This is a fixed-term position created by our current post holder commencing maternity leave. As a senior dietitian, you will provide specialist expertise to patients requiring complex diabetes interventions, including carbohydrate counting, insulin adjustments, and insulin pumps. You will deliver outpatient diabetes clinics and support the delivery of specialist diabetes care to complex inpatients. The role forms a core member of the UHBW diabetes service and works closely with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have significant experience in chronic disease management, particularly in diabetes-focused settings. They will work as part of a multi-professional team, providing comprehensive specialized services, education, and training to healthcare professionals, carers, and other workers. Additionally, they will be responsible for leading the dietetic element of the diabetes pathway, directing peers and colleagues, and participating in the training and development of junior dietitians and assistant grades.
