We are seeking a skilled and experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our EAP Clinical Team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality telephone counselling services to clients, providing initial clinical assessments, triage, and risk assessments, as well as managing a caseload of clients requiring structured counselling.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial clinical assessments and triage to determine client needs and develop appropriate clinical pathways.
- Deliver a range of support services, including booked assessment appointments, in-the-moment support, and booked single sessions via telephone and/or video calls.
- Carry out risk assessments and follow the Safeguarding and Risk Protocol process.
- Manage a caseload of clients requiring structured counselling, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Write accurate and concise clinical notes of all interactions.
- A minimum of 300+ clinical hours of experience.
- Qualification as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4 and above in Counselling) with BACP (or similar) registered status.
- Excellent assessment skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions and hold boundaries.
- Strong clinical background, with excellent time management, communication, and organisation skills.
- Ability to work a minimum of 3x full days per week, with at least 1 day based in-office in Glasgow, and cover at least 1 weekend (7.5 hours) and 1 overnight sleeping shift per month.
- Previous EAP/telephone Counselling or time-limited assessment experience, ideally in a corporate environment.
- Full induction training programme, including Microsoft Teams training.
- 22 days leave, Bank holidays, and birthday off (pro-rata).
- Supervision covered up to 2 hours per month (pro-rata).
- Monthly 1-2-1's with your line manager.
- 24/7 On Call support.
