Caregiver for Individuals with Cerebral Palsy

We are looking for a caring and experienced support worker to provide care and support to an individual with cerebral palsy in Plymouth, Devon.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with animals and possess a full UK driver's license. The client is in their 20s and has cerebral palsy with other complex needs, requiring 2:1 support during the day and 1:1 support during the night.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with personalized routines to promote independence and comfort
- Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility
- Administering medication and monitoring health conditions
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care
- Ability to deal with challenging behaviors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Estimated salary: £15.50 - £16.50 per hour. Working hours: 7:30am - 10pm (Friday/Saturday/Sunday & Monday) and 10pm - 7:30am (Sleeping Nights- Friday/Saturday/Sunday & Monday).
