About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Assistant to join our team in Dagenham. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children with speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to help students develop communication skills and confidence.
  • Help students adapt to new environments and build positive relationships with their peers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless support and effective strategies for students with diverse needs.
Requirements
  • A degree from a Russell Group university in Speech and Language or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), preferably in a speech and language context.
  • Strong enthusiasm, patience, resilience, and a positive work ethic.
  • A genuine interest in helping students overcome communication challenges.
