Tax Professional

A senior appointment incorporating extensive trust administration and accounting, with extensive tax work, including the preparation of tax returns and associated compliance. This is a working opportunity for our established / successful client based in Chichester.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare and submit trust and estate tax returns, personal tax returns, and related tax calculations using the firm's software (IRIS).
- Manage client correspondence, HM Revenue & Customs, and third-party interactions as required.
- Monitor and meet deadlines for tax-related tasks.
- Prepare trust accounts and monitor deadlines for trusts and estates.
- Handle day-to-day client administration.
- Prepare inheritance tax returns for trusts and estates.
- Provide ad-hoc advisory services, such as advising on trust distributions.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members.
- Perform other tasks as required by the LLP.
- A suitable professional qualification, e.g. STEP, ATT, CTA (part qualified).
- Significant experience (2 years+) in a private client or trust department in a client-facing role.
- Ability to work accurately, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Proactive and ambitious, with a willingness to challenge in the best interest of the client.
- IT literate, with experience using case management and tax software (ideally IRIS).
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.15pm, working in the office.
