Senior Tax and Trust Role
A challenging opportunity has arisen for a senior tax and trust professional to join our client's team in Chichester. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax and trust advice to clients, including the preparation of tax returns and associated compliance.
The role will involve client contact and may extend beyond the main responsibilities listed below.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns for trusts and estates, including personal tax returns and related tax calculations using the firm's software.
- Manage all related correspondence with clients, HM Revenue & Customs, and third parties as required.
- Monitor and work to related deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Prepare trust accounts and monitor deadlines for trusts and estates, including ten yearly charges and beneficial entitlements.
- Deal with the day-to-day administration of clients, including inheritance tax returns for trusts and estates.
- Provide ad hoc advisory work, such as advising on trust distributions.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior members of staff.
- Perform other tasks as required by the LLP.
Requirements
- A suitable professional qualification, such as STEP, ATT, or CTA (part qualified).
- Significant experience (2 years+) of working in a private practice environment.
