We are looking for an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team in the Emergency Department at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to work as a clinical lead, providing expert care to patients of all ages presenting with undifferentiated and unscheduled care needs. You will be responsible for assessing, investigating, treating, and either referring or discharging patients who present with minor injuries and illnesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Organise and manage the care of patients with minor injuries and illnesses, supporting junior staff with decision-making and taking accountability and providing clinical leadership.
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, and decision-making in clinical care to independently provide high-standard care for patients of all ages.
  • Assess, investigate, treat, and either refer or discharge patients who present with minor injuries and illnesses across the age spans (adults and paediatrics).
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Active RN Adult/Pediatric registration with the NMC or HCPC Registration on the Paramedic or Physiotherapy register.
  • A United Kingdom recognised Degree in either: Level 6 BSc within Minor injury &/or Illness or Level 6/7 Advancing Practice in Clinical Assessment, Reasoning and Differential Diagnosis for Urgent, Emergency and Primary Care Practitioners.
  • Non-Medical Independent & Supplementary Prescribing.
Salary and Benefits:
