Job Overview

HM Treasury is seeking a skilled Policy Adviser to join its Infrastructure, Labour Markets and Migration Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in shaping the Government's policies and supporting Ministers in making informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project manage HM Treasury's engagement and support of the Employment Rights Bill, acting as a key point of contact between the Department for Business and HM Treasury.
  2. Advise Ministers on policy options, working with data and other evidence, and collaborating with economic and other policy advisers in HM Treasury's Economics and Tax and Welfare groups.
  3. Lead on ministerial and Special Adviser briefings to assist Ministers in dealing with the media and Parliament.
  4. Act as a key point of contact on specific employment right policy areas, dealing with any problems or queries as they arise.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to clearly explain your thinking, and the drive to overcome challenges and see your ideas through into action and delivery.
