About The Role
DAS UK is embarking on an exciting phase of growth following its acquisition by ARAG SE. We are seeking a talented Sustainability Lead to develop and implement organisational policy and strategy relating to sustainability, climate risk, and transition to net zero.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to promote awareness and good practice across the organisation. The successful candidate will ensure the establishment and embedding of appropriate policy, process, controls, and risk mitigations. Key areas of focus will include the business' approach to environment, sustainability, and climate change across all business functions.
The Sustainability Lead will develop the approach, tools, and materials to support management of sustainability, environment, and climate-related topics, regulation, and reporting, including transition to net zero planning. They will also compile evidence and documentation for relevant governance committees and executive members.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build established and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear interest in the subject matter and best practice, communicating effectively with the ability to tailor their message to the relevant audience.

About You
We are looking for candidates with previous experience in a sustainability role. You will have a clear understanding of organisational culture and the ability to collaborate with staff in related management disciplines. This role would suit candidates with project management skills and an understanding of continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, TCFD, SDR, EU CSRD, GRI, SBTi, and SDG.
- Facilitation skills to plan and direct meetings, training workshops, and exercises.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as highly structured and organised with strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation – able to work autonomously and as a member of the team.
- Ability to write policies that satisfy both legal and organisational requirements.
- Ability to communicate and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders, using language appropriate to the audience.
