Job Summary

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering parcels and packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sorting and Collecting: Start your day by sorting and collecting post and parcels at the local delivery office.
  • Customer Service: Use a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries and provide excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires walking at least 8 miles per day and carrying a bag that can weigh up to 16kg, delivering letters and parcels with parcels weighing up to 20kg.
  • Driving and On-Foot Delivery: Drive and deliver parcels on foot, and push/pull a trolley during deliveries.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK Driving License: Hold a valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points (a clean license is preferred).
  • Previous Experience: Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Possess excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure efficient delivery routes.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Demonstrate strong communication and customer service abilities to provide a positive experience for customers.
  • Safe and Responsible Driving Practices: Commit to safe and responsible driving practices, including working outdoors in all weathers.
