Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV 1 Driver to join our dayshift curtain work team. This role involves the transportation of goods using curtain-sided vehicles, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load Security: Ensure that all goods are correctly loaded, secured, and unloaded using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Timely Deliveries: Adhere to scheduled delivery times while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle checks, and hours of service.
- Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Licence: Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of HGV 1 driving experience, preferably with curtain-sided vehicles.
- CPC: Up-to-date Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Tacho Card: Valid digital tachograph card.
- Skills: Excellent driving skills with a strong understanding of road safety regulations. Good communication and organizational skills.
- Fitness: Physically fit to handle loading and unloading tasks.
