Exciting Graduate Structural Engineer Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a fast-growing company to work on a range of projects within a Multi-Disciplinary Environment for Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd. The Graduate Structural Engineer will be working for a UK wide consultancy, which operates within the Civil and Structural Engineering and will be given the opportunity of career development and chartership training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce design calculations and specifications
  • Prepare sketch plans, working drawings, and reports
  • Assist with planning site investigation works and feasibility studies
  • Develop and use computer-based systems to improve efficiency
  • Undertake site inspection and attend site meetings
  • Produce designs, assessments, and calculations in accordance with quality procedures
  • Liaise effectively with clients, other design team members, and third parties
Requirements
  • Degree within a Civil or Structural Engineering Discipline
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and British Standards/UK version of Eurocodes
  • Understanding of CDM regulations and the responsibilities of a designer
  • Conversant in designing structures in concrete, steelwork, timber, and masonry
  • Understanding of engineering principles
  • Able to produce hand calculations and sketches of structural elements
