Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Graduate Engineer to join our team at Perega (formerly Thomasons Limited). As a Graduate Engineer, you will play a key role in assisting senior staff with design work on projects and tasks, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a positive client relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and coordinate work as directed by senior staff, ensuring high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation of sketch plans, working drawings, specifications, and reports, utilizing computer-based systems to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in site investigation works, conducting site inspections and attending site meetings to ensure project progress.
  • Contribute to the development and use of computer-based systems to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, design team members, and third parties to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Understand and adhere to existing working practices, methods, and procedures, adopting 'best practice' and working within given programme and cost constraints.
  • Proactively engage in self-development, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • University degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Good understanding of engineering principles and construction procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive approach to work, with a commitment to continual improvement at a personal and company level.
  • Ability to produce accurate and clear sketches, with a good understanding of design software and its limitations.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and design software packages.
  • Understanding of CDM regulations and the responsibilities of a designer.
