About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading freight forwarding and logistics company based in the London area, who are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop key accounts for Air Imports / Exports, with the ability to also pick up road freight and sea freight business.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market share in Air, Road, and Sea Freight.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, industry events, cold calling, online research, and overseas conferences.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and cross-sell other modes of freight to existing clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales for a freight forwarder.
  • Air Freight client base is preferred.
  • Full driving license is required.
  • Will need to regularly commute to Luton (Head office), possibly once or twice per week.
