About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Primary Teaching Assistant, supporting two autistic students in a vibrant and nurturing environment. As a key member of the Year 5 team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the students receive the best possible support and guidance.

In this role, you will work closely with the SENCO and Year 5 teacher to develop strategies for supporting the students, modifying academic content to make it accessible and enjoyable. You will also guide the students in managing stress and sensory challenges, helping them stay engaged and calm in the classroom.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Work one-on-one with two autistic students, providing individualized support and adaptations.
  2. Collaborate with the SENCO and Year 5 teacher to develop strategies for supporting the students.
  3. Modify academic content to make it manageable and enjoyable for the students.
  4. Guide the students in managing stress and sensory challenges.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with autistic students in a primary school setting.
  • Patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
