Job Description

We are recruiting an Education and Support Specialist to join our team at Academics. As a member of our team, you will provide specialist support to two autistic students in Year 5, helping them navigate school life with confidence.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will work one-on-one with two Pupils, adapting academic content to meet their individual needs. You will also provide them with coping strategies to manage any stress or sensory challenges they may face in the classroom environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Offer tailored support to two autistic students, ensuring they stay engaged and calm in the classroom.
  2. Modify and adapt lesson content to meet individual needs, making tasks manageable and enjoyable.
  3. Work with small groups on phonics and targeted academic interventions.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in SEN support (preferably with autistic students) within a primary school setting.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development.

Additional Information

Based in Cheshire, this full-time position offers a competitive salary of £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.
