About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide maternity cover for one of our team members.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our colleague with daily tasks, developing daily routines, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting our colleague to access local activities and develop daily routines
  • Practicing travelling on the bus to build confidence and familiarity with local routes
  • Ensuring our colleague's safety and well-being at all times
  • Recognising signs of anxiety and fatigue and taking appropriate action to alleviate symptoms
  • Assisting with correspondence, reading, and explaining post, and contacting companies on behalf of our colleague
  • Setting up appointments and arranging meetings
  • Explaining meetings and follow-up actions in clear detail
  • Helping our colleague to learn appropriate social cues
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and friendly approach
  • Good communication skills and patience
  • Ability to manage changing moods and emotions in a professional and appropriate way
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or Asperger's diagnosis is desirable
  • Confidentiality and discretion are essential
  • Dependability and reliability are crucial
