About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide maternity cover for one of our team members.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our colleague with daily tasks, ensuring their safety and well-being, and assisting with correspondence and appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our colleague with accessing local activities and developing daily routines
  • Practice travelling on the bus to build confidence and familiarity with local routes
  • Ensure our colleague's safety and well-being at all times
  • Recognise signs of anxiety and fatigue and take appropriate action to alleviate symptoms
  • Assist with correspondence, reading, and explaining post, and contacting companies on behalf of our colleague
  • Set up appointments and arrange meetings, and provide clear explanations of the meetings and any follow-up action required
  • Help our colleague learn appropriate social cues
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and friendly approach
  • Good communication skills and patience
  • Ability to manage changing moods and provide professional support
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or Asperger's diagnosis is desirable
  • Confidentiality and discretion are essential
  • Dependability and reliability are crucial
