The Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Barnett Hill Hotel, a 4-star country house hotel in Surrey. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the restaurant for service, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
  • Meet and greet guests, taking pride in providing a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Take guest orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Serve food and beverage, including alcoholic beverages, with a smile and a sense of pride.
  • Complete satisfaction checks, ensuring our guests are delighted with their experience.
  • Resolve any service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Present bills to guests and take payment, ensuring a seamless and efficient transaction.
  • Reset the restaurant at the end of the shift, ready for the next service.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and tidy before departing, maintaining the high standards of our hotel.

Requirements

  • You must have reliable transport due to the hotel's semi-rural location.
  • You must have a smart appearance, reflecting the high standards of our hotel.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with guests and colleagues on a daily basis.
  • A passion for guest service and experience within a quality food service hotel or restaurant is required.
  • You must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, and be available for 37.5 hours per week.
