About the Role

The Planning and Logistics Leader will have a key focus on delivering materials and production. The ability to deliver is key and directly impacts the success of the business. This is closely followed by the aspiration to improve, driving improved business performance and transforming cost and service.

To be successful in this role:

  • You will have experience in a fast-moving environment.
  • Having the ability to influence and direct from Director down to site manager.
  • You'll have the ability to manage challenging stakeholders within your own organisation – from category director / site directors / operation managers.
  • Sufficiently strategic to be able to deliver a productivity programme, sustainability programme.

Key Responsibilities

Teamwork – you will be working alongside a team to execute large-scale targets.

Lead, manage, coach and develop the whole team, ensuring the required best-in-class supply chain functional and leadership capabilities are being continuously developed in line with Diageo capabilities.

Driving improved business performance – cost, service to transform process.

Scope – Communication with the wider market and collaborating with many aspects of the business.

Exceptional influencing and Senior stakeholder management skills.

Scale – responsible for managing a function.

Roles will either engage a global scope – variety of range with a large reach across the business without direct reports, influencing the local teams. Alternatively, a local team with large team of direct reports.

Detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain operational processes, e.g., DRP, MPS, inventory, conversion, logistics and customer service.

Operational control - results orientated and KPI focused.

Dealing with external companies alongside Diageo teams.

Skills and Experience

Customer centric mind set (internal and external to Diageo).

Extensive years of experience in Planning and Supply chain including experience in managing S&OP process (multi country experience would be an advantage).

S&OP / IBP process knowledge & practical experience.

Good business insight, understanding of P&L and Cash statements desired.

Data analytics & calculations excellent capabilities.

Ability to lead diverse teams and influence partners across an organisation.

Sound knowledge and experience in process development and digitisation.

Track record of performance delivery.

Excellent written, oral, presentation and communication skills.

Highly organised and self-motivated, with an ability to anticipate, effectively prioritise and progress workload.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external customers effectively across various levels of the organisation.

Proven track of records to build strong customer relationships and handle customer expectations.
