Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform highly specialist cardiac diagnostic investigations, including echocardiography and cardiac rhythm management.
- Lead and manage an area within the department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
- Develop and implement new procedures and protocols to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Band 6 Senior Cardiac Physiologist.
- Independent practitioner in adult echocardiography and/or cardiac rhythm management.
- Experience of cardiac catheterization (diagnostic), permanent pacemaker implants, physiologist-led exercise tolerance tests, and Holter analysis.
- BSc Healthcare Science or BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology level, or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
