Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiac Diagnostic Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients and contributing to the development of our department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Services: Provide timely and accurate diagnostic investigations to patients, utilizing your expertise in echocardiography and cardiac rhythm management.
  • Department Leadership: Take on a leadership role within the department, overseeing the day-to-day management of a section of the Cardiac Diagnostic Services department and ensuring the provision of a high-quality service.
  • Training and Development: Train and support other staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge in cardiac physiology.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: BSc Healthcare Science or BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology, or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years' experience as a Band 6 Senior Cardiac Physiologist, with expertise in adult echocardiography and/or cardiac rhythm management.
  • Skills: Highly specialized skills in echocardiography and/or cardiac rhythm management, with experience of cardiac catheterization, permanent pacemaker implants, physiologist-led exercise tolerance tests, and Holter analysis.
Person Specification
  • Qualifications: BSc Healthcare Science or BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology, or equivalent.
  • Experience: BSE (Adult transthoracic Echocardiography) accreditation, ILS, IBHRE, ALS accreditation, and NHS experience.
