About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Team Leader in our Residential Care Services. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting our young people with complex needs, promoting their well-being, and helping them achieve their personal potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager as required.
  • Ensure our team of Residential Care Workers are up-to-date with mandatory learning and support their individual development.
  • Communicate with the on-site team and raise awareness about individual care plans and their implementation.
  • Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files to monitor and evaluate progress.
  • Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development.
  • Provide support and care to the young people in our services.
  • Encourage young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling.
  • Travel with young people to and from school or college.
  • Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home to ensure a comfortable environment for the young people.
  • Organise and facilitate social activities.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • A desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce is required.
  • 12 months experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable, but we also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey.
  • Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
