Job Summary
The QinetiQ UMAT group is seeking a skilled Technician to join their team at the British Underwater Test & Evaluation Centre. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the operation, maintenance, and support of underwater acoustic vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, repair, and calibrate underwater acoustic vehicles and associated equipment.
- Deploy and operate autonomous vehicles at sea to support trials.
- Perform in-shop testing and calibration of ancillary equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain technical knowledge and competency for UMAT operations and maintenance.
- Use group paperwork and equipment database data entry within a ISO9001:2000 environment.
Essential Experience
- A strong interest in a career within Engineering and a willingness to relocate to the west coast of Scotland.
