Job Summary

This exciting opportunity is available with our community team, where you will play a vital role in supporting new clinicians through induction and development.

You will be responsible for ensuring that new recruits in the locality have the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to be fully effective in their roles, and are able to deliver a safe, effective, and caring service.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the induction process for new recruits into the team, coordinating competency education and assessments.

• Provide clinical and educational support to new recruits and existing staff requiring extra support.

• Provide leadership to new recruits and support line managers working with staff development.

• Work in partnership with the Learning and Development team to maintain competency and continuous professional development of self and wider teams.

Requirements

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with NMC registration.

• Evidence of continuous professional development to postgraduate level.

• Recent teaching or training experience.

• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• A recognized assessor/mentor qualification or evidence of working towards this.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge and engagement in the IEN OSCE process.

• Experience within community clinical roles.

• Excellent communication skills, including concise and accurate documentation.

• Experience of team working and working without direct supervision.

• Able to work autonomously, demonstrating good organizational skills and personal effectiveness.
