Electrical Project Engineer

Westlakes Recruit is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Cumbria. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting the senior project team in the implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for designated projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage materials, plant, and labour within allocated budget and resources to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of service on the project.
  2. Ensure all systems, design information, procedures, and quality systems are effectively communicated to the project team.
  3. Support project delivery teams by verifying the work of others and providing technical support.
  4. Lead or support assurance on projects through conducting audits and regular meetings with project teams to identify best practice, areas for improvement, and areas of concern.
  5. Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the industry in terms of technology and standards.
  6. Provide coaching and motivation to the project team to deliver high performance on the project and create a culture of continuous improvement.
  7. Ensure efficient operation of procurement, material control policies, and procedures.
  8. Implement quality assurance principles and technical integrity to ensure customer requirements are met and quality control mechanisms are in place.
  9. Provide concise and accurate feedback on project performance against estimate to the estimating function.
  10. Seek to understand and implement digital tool sets to support project execution.
