Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist; Cardiac Rehabilitation

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and evolving our Cardiac Rehabilitation service, working closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and Therapy Service to deliver high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat complex adult patients with urology, respiratory, gynaecology, and medical conditions, using enhanced clinical decision-making skills.
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership to Physiotherapy colleagues in the specialty area.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner to develop individualized treatment programmes based on patient needs, using advanced clinical reasoning skills.
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of Physiotherapy services, ensuring efficient and effective care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of Physiotherapy services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • Ensure the training and development of staff within the Therapy specialty Team.
  • Support the Therapy management team and Therapy Speciality Leads in improving and transforming Therapy services.
Person Specification:
  • HCPC registration and Physiotherapy BSc/MSc.
  • Practice/Clinical Educators Course.
  • Significant recent postgraduate clinical experience in respiratory, urology, medicine, and gynaecology.
