Role Overview

The Forward Trust is a leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, delivering support to offenders in prisons and communities. We aim to move individuals away from addiction and crime, providing effective health protection and recovery motivation.

This traineeship offers a comprehensive support package, requiring commitment to a recognised qualification within one year. A two-year period in recovery is suggested for suitable candidates.

You will shadow a team member, receiving guidance and support in the various aspects of the role. Regular reviews ensure successful completion of the traineeship and compulsory therapy.

This role involves:

  1. Reviewing ongoing care and treatment, liaising with healthcare agencies
  2. Co-facilitating groups and programmes to standard
  3. Multi-disciplinary and integrated working
  4. Carrying out assessments (risk/initial/comprehensive)
  5. Contributing to service user through-care needs

Requirements

  • Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Understanding of vulnerable adults in recovery, with experience of previous offending
  • Able to manage workload effectively to deadlines and targets
  • Understanding of equal opportunity principles and client confidentiality
  • A full UK driver's licence
