Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific student needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging social and emotional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour support plans.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
- Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Knowledge of relevant SEMH strategies and interventions, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
