Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Community Outreach Officer to join our team at the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). As a key member of our community rail partnership, you will play a vital role in promoting rail travel and enhancing the experience for residents and visitors in Worcestershire.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, and have a proven track record of community engagement. You will work closely with local stakeholders, community groups, and rail industry partners to deliver projects that promote social inclusion, sustainable transport, and economic growth.

About the Role

This is a part-time position (25 hours per week) offering a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be based in Worcestershire, with frequent travel required to attend meetings and events across the region.

As a Public Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting the work of the Worcestershire Community Rail Partnership through various channels, including media outreach, stakeholder engagement, and community events. You will also work closely with our communications team to develop compelling content and messaging that showcases the benefits of rail travel and community rail initiatives.
