We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial support and ensuring all accounting systems are up-to-date and accurate.

Main Tasks:

  1. Enter Daily Bank Receipts into the Paying-in spreadsheet and maintain accuracy.
  2. Manage client calls and record card payments, disbursements, invoices, and debtor balances on the Paying-in spreadsheet.
  3. Verify Card Receipts to ensure timely funds receipt.
  4. Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and perform twice-weekly payment runs.
  5. Maintain strict debt control measures and ensure purchase invoices are approved according to company procedures.
  6. Raise Purchase Invoices for suppliers without own invoices and control Petty Cash.
  7. Collate list and documents ready for payment by the Management Accountant and assist with week-end supplier payment runs.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an Accounts Department.
  2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to work under pressure.
  4. Team player with excellent customer service skills, willing to question systems and procedures to improve them.
  5. Positive attitude, flexible, and able to work in a busy office environment.

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
