Job Description
NES Fircroft Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Technical Safety Engineer to join their team in Norwich, UK. This 12-month contract position will play a crucial role in providing safety engineering support to the company's operations in the Southern North Sea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct competent in-house safety studies, including risk assessments, consequence modeling, and barrier diagram development.
- Prepare scope of requirements, commissioning, managing, and reviewing technical safety studies from competent contractors.
- Provide safety engineering support for the Management of Change process and identify necessary safety studies.
- Engage with operations and projects to ensure regulatory compliance and obtain necessary permits.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain current knowledge on HSE legislations, codes, guidelines, and industry standards.
Safety & Environmentally Critical Tasks:
- SNS Technical Safety Engineer
- SNS Management of Change - Technical Reviewer
- SNS Operational Risk Assessment – Participant
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Requirements:
- A higher technical qualification within an engineering field, e.g., Process Safety, Chemical, or Mechanical, is mandatory.
- 10+ years' experience in Safety Engineering in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Software knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel), PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTie XP, FLARESIM.
