About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Laundry Assistant to join our team at Triangle Care Home in Wheatley. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and effective laundering service for the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all laundering duties including safely storing dirty laundry, sorted into appropriate wash loads.
  • Wash, dry, and iron all bed linen, table linen, and towels which are home property and personal clothing belonging to residents.
  • Ensure the linen cupboard is well stocked and tidy.
  • Assist with the general cleanliness of the laundry area including air filters and equipment.
  • Ensure Company Policy on Infection Control is adhered to at all times with regard to soiled linen.
  • Able to ensure Company Policy on Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) is adhered to at all times.
  • Take linen and clothes to store, or residents' rooms as required, hanging or placing residents' items neatly. Ensure systems for the identification and correct return of personal clothing are effective.
  • Keep records of any damage to items whilst in the laundry and report the condition of residents' clothing to enable replacements to be purchased as necessary.
  • Ensure equipment, chemicals, and cleaning products are stored safely and securely, during and after use.

  • Able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.

About Triangle Care Home

Triangle Care Home is a small and friendly purpose-built home in Wheatley, a short drive from Oxford city and close to public transport. They provide nursing care for those who have complex medical needs, intermediate care as an alternative to hospital stay, and specialist care for residents who suffer from mental health conditions - where we support our residents to re-establish their mental wellbeing, sustain independence and prepare for a move into supported living or their own home.
