About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to lead our test strategy and play a pivotal role in our data pipeline modernization program. As a key member of our Data Pipeline team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test suites, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all functionalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve coded test frameworks, ensuring adherence to departmental standards.
  • Design, develop, and maintain test cases in Java, promoting best practices in code quality and testability.
  • Monitor and suggest KPIs and performance metrics to software under test, developing test plans, test cases, and testing scripts.
  • Perform root cause analysis on software defects, working closely with the development team to address them in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to quality assurance, utilizing version control software like GitHub to maintain code artifacts.
  • Leverage MongoDB for managing and manipulating test data, creating effective test scenarios.
  • Utilize Docker for creating and managing isolated testing environments, ensuring consistent testing conditions.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate/first-level degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of development experience with a strong emphasis on Java.
  • Experience in leading projects, handling multiple projects concurrently, and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Critical thinking skills for thorough analysis of system requirements and test scenarios.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with test containers like Docker, AWS container services.
  • Familiarity with databases: MongoDB, SQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
