Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Cheswick, Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Statement Preparation: Manage and maintain general ledgers, preparing operating and financial statements.
- Billings and Collections: Review and interact with DCMA as required.
- Account Reconciliations: Review and approve monthly account reconciliations.
- IR&D Spend/Budgets: Manage and assist in monitoring IR&D spend/budgets.
- Proposal Review: Review proposals before submitting to management.
- Financial System Development: Support ongoing development and enhancement of Corporate financial systems.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal, external, and government auditors, the Finance Center of Excellence team, and the Corporate Finance team as needed.
- Goal Development: Assist in developing goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to accounting, financial management, and/or budget as needed.
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree in Accounting/Finance with 10+ years' experience.
- Oracle ERP systems knowledge preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) along with other regulatory or government regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
- An understanding of manufacturing business processes preferably in a project-based business environment is a plus.
- Must be well organized, flexible, have the ability to carry on multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
