Job Opportunity

Vertiv is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in Derry, Northern Ireland. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for assembling electrical switchgear and associated electromechanical equipment to engineering drawings and production timescales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electrical switchgear and electromechanical equipment to engineering drawings and production timescales.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained for products both in the factory and at customer premises.
  • Work from drawings, manuals, schematics, and other technical documents.
  • Contribute to the fitting, building, or construction of various parts to ensure a smooth process of component amalgamation.
  • Assemble parts or components to build new or repeatable products.
  • Work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering tools and electrical hand tools and equipment.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Apply good workmanship and ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Report any substandard or malfunctioning parts.
Requirements:
  • C&G Electrical Qualification and an Engineering Apprenticeship with AM2 or equivalent.
  • Mechanical knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Experience in electrical switchgear manufacture or similar.
  • Experience in field service work or on-site installations.
  • Familiar with Risk Assessments and Method statements.
  • Current 18th Edition certification.
