Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity at Vertiv

Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Campsie, Derry. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the success of one of Ireland's leading engineering companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Design team to prepare detailed design drawings and documentation for the Switchgear Manufacturing department.
  • Review and provide feedback on electrical design drawings compiled by junior design engineers, while coaching and mentoring those junior members of the team.
  • Apply knowledge of IEC/IET/IEE standards to ensure products comply with relevant electrical regulations and standards.
  • Develop software for standard control equipment and create test scripts to prove out functionality of control schemes.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification in Engineering or 3 years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in a related position or comparable role involving exposure to design engineering and managing multiple projects.
