Job Role: Maintenance Technician - Permanent Nights

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: £52,000-£54,000 per annum

Hours: 22:30-7:00 Sunday to Thursday

The Client:

Interaction Recruitment have partnered with a well-established & expanding clean food manufacturer based in Northampton. Our client has now reached a stage of growth where they are looking to add an additional maintenance technician to their night shift engineering team.   • Salary between £52,000-£54,000 dependent on experience
  • 31 days Annual leave (Inclusive of public holidays) - plus a salary sacrifice scheme to purchase up to 5 more days annual leave
  • Pension Scheme - up to 5% contribution match
  • Overtime sometimes available - offered time off in lieu or paid at 1.5x
  • Ongoing commitment to training and development
  • Will be working as part of a team of 2 so will always have assistance where required

The Duties:

  • Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on production machinery
  • Primarily carry out Pre Planned Maintenance to the on site machinery
  • Following health and safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant
  • Carrying out repairs on Conveyors & automated machinery in a timely manner
  • Ensuring Tool & Storage Room is organised & has an up to date inventory list
  • Ensuring a clean & organised work space to maintain a healthy working environment

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a maintenance technician in a FMCG, Food Manufacturing or Automated environment with a mechanical or electrical bias (essential)
  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Fault Finding, Repair and Maintenance experience (Relays, Sensors, Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyors, Pneumatic systems) - essential
  • Knowledge/Experience of electrical systems (PLC's, Control Panels and testing) is advantageous
  • Ability to work alone & as part of a team
  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds 1-3, NVQ 1-3, 17th or 18th Wiring Regulations)
  • Willing to learn and collaborate with engineers to share knowledge
