We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Liaison and Attendance Officer to join our team at New Barn School in Newbury, Berkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of families experiencing educational difficulties.

As a Family Liaison and Attendance Officer, you will work closely with parents, young people, carers, and local authorities to explore circumstances and develop effective solutions.

You will be responsible for coordinating visits to see parents, where you will discuss strategies for coping with life's challenges and provide guidance on accessing additional support.

In addition to this role, you will also be responsible for Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead duties.

The successful candidate will have experience working with SEN students, families, and local authorities. You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

New Barn School is a growing school that caters for SEMH pupils aged 6-19. We are committed to providing inclusive education within a safe and nurturing environment where students' needs are met.

The estimated salary for this role is up to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
