We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Caregiver for Youth Development to join our care team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in residential childcare, with a focus on supporting the welfare and well-being of young people.

As a Caregiver for Youth Development, you will be responsible for promoting the welfare and well-being of young people, providing emotional and social support, and fostering positive relationships. You will also assist with daily living tasks, record and report on progress, and contribute to the development of care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the care team in promoting the welfare and well-being of young people
  • Provide emotional and social support to help young people develop meaningful relationships
  • Encourage independence and self-esteem through positive reinforcement and empowerment
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation and domestic duties
  • Record and report on progress, incidents, and concerns, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in residential childcare or a willingness to undertake one
  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a residential setting
  • Ability to engage and empower young people, promoting positive relationships and outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trust and rapport
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
