Job Title:

Principal Dietitian

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Dietitian to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the renal, diabetes, and community dietetic teams across Brighton & Hove.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and development to the renal, diabetes, and community dietetic teams
  • Manage a complex renal clinical caseload, including satellite haemodialysis units and AKCC clinics
  • Work collaboratively with other dietetic teams and departments to ensure effective service delivery
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service efficiency
  • Manage staff recruitment, service quality, and change management
Requirements:
  • BSc, Diploma, or Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Clinical Specialist to Masters level or equivalent
  • Recognised qualification in Leadership/Management
  • Demonstrated experience of senior dietitian role, quality improvement, and change management
  • Demonstrated experience of managing, supporting, and developing others
Working Arrangements:

This is a 12-month fixed-term position, with a 70% clinical and 30% managerial split. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with other teams and departments to ensure effective service delivery.
