Housing Income Maximisation and Administrative Services Manager

About the Role
The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and London Borough of Wandsworth are seeking an experienced and dynamic manager to lead their Housing Income Maximisation and Administrative Services team.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading a team of managers who deliver administrative services and maximise income through effective debt advice and collection.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with homeless households to provide high-quality debt management and benefit advice
- Supporting the housing services division by leading a team of deputy managers and ensuring the continuing development of staff to deliver excellent customer services
- Networking and liaison with external and internal agencies to prevent homelessness and ensure income maximisation
- Effective management of budgets and administering financial administration of incentives schemes in accordance with processes and audit guidelines
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and team management skills, a sound understanding of financial functions and duties of a housing department, and excellent understanding of welfare benefits and debt management within a homeless environment.
The successful candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, person-centred advice to homeless households and will have the ability to work collaboratively with voluntary agencies and teams to ensure maximum collection.
