Key Responsibilities

As a Drainage Operative, you will be part of our Maintenance team, working closely with colleagues to ensure highway drainage assets are operational. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating high-pressure jetting lorries to maintain highway drainage systems
  • Using handheld recording devices to capture works information and ensure accurate records
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicles are safe and well-maintained
  • Participating in out-of-hours incident response and winter service duties to minimize disruptions
  • Leading a 2-person crew, taking responsibility for daily tasks, health and safety, and completion of required paperwork

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a current driving license and HGV capabilities. You should be comfortable communicating with colleagues and members of the public and able to follow Kier's policies and procedures to provide a safe working environment.
