About the Role

This challenging position involves leading a team of HCPC Registered and unregistered staff under the guidance of the Team Manager to deliver high-quality services in line with legislation and local policies.

  • To lead and motivate a team of professionals, promoting best outcomes for children while ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and policies.
  • To develop and implement strategies to enhance staff skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
  • To manage team performance, setting targets and objectives, and providing regular supervision, mentoring, and coaching to support staff growth.
  • To model critical reflective practice, promoting excellence in management and organizational settings.
  • To maintain awareness of current legislation, government initiatives, and local policies, disseminating best practices within the team.
  • To contribute to policy and operational reports, briefings, and meetings, ensuring effective communication across departments.
  • To ensure team members adhere to Equality and Diversity policies and procedures, delivering inclusive practice that meets statutory expectations.
  • To participate in service-wide developments and improvements through collaborative efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership: Direct and coordinate the work of HCPC Registered and unregistered staff to achieve optimal service delivery.

  3. Knowledge Management: Foster a culture of learning, share best practices, and encourage innovation within the team.
  4. Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and local policies, guiding team members in their decision-making processes.
  5. Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations to inform stakeholders about service operations and future directions.
