Job Overview

Are you a motivated pharmacist looking for a new challenge?

This role is suitable for pharmacists from various backgrounds, seeking to work in an innovative and forward-thinking team.

We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic pharmacists to join our pharmacy team, currently spread across two acute sites, with a view to expanding into a third site.

You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills, participate in quality improvement developments, and be part of a cohesive, friendly, and supportive team.

The successful candidates will provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services as members of our ward-based teams.

This post provides an ideal opportunity for newly qualified pharmacists or existing Band 6 pharmacists looking for experience working at a Band 7 level.

Main Duties of the Job

We are a successful, innovative, and forward-thinking department, with patient care at the centre of our decision-making.

Our Trust gives medicines management and medicines optimisation high priority.

We have invested in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art aseptic unit.

The pharmacy department has been successful in outsourcing outpatient dispensing, implementing electronic medicines management for all inpatient wards, and rolled out electronic prescribing in our haematology and oncology service.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist

Desirable Criteria

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience

Occupational Experience
