Design Manager Opportunity at Kier Group

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Kier Group, based in Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the success of our business.

About the Role

As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design team to achieve project goals on time, cost, quality, and health and safety. You will oversee project and design budgets, forecast design costs, and drive efficiency through innovation and design reuse.

You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promoting health and safety in design activities. Building trust and integrity with the Client by providing timely information, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with Client-specific delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the design team to achieve project goals
  • Oversee project and design budgets and forecast design costs
  • Drive efficiency through innovation and design reuse
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promote health and safety in design activities
  • Build trust and integrity with the Client by providing timely information and managing risks and opportunities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree-level engineering qualification and ideally have CSCS accreditation or be willing to obtain it. You will also need to have a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to sites and Client meetings as required.

You will also need to have a sound understanding of design principles within the water industry and be familiar with Client standards and regulations.
