Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Kier Group, based in Solihull. This is a permanent role that offers hybrid working arrangements.
About the RoleAs a Design Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that technically compliant, cost-effective, and environmentally considerate solutions are developed in the pre-construction phase. You will work closely with our Severn Trent team to deliver optimal design solutions that meet performance and programme requirements for the Worcester Wastewater Treatment works.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the design team to achieve project goals on time, cost, quality, and health and safety.
- Oversee project and design budgets, forecasting design costs, and driving efficiency through innovation and design reuse.
- Build trust and integrity with the Client by providing timely information, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with Client-specific delivery processes.
- A degree-level engineering qualification and ideally CSCS accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites and Client meetings as required.
- A sound understanding of design principles within the water industry and familiarity with Client standards and regulations.
